As manchester united secured that one point on saturday against chota bacchas (Arsenal), i said "oh! shit" but deep down i felt proud of teh rafa brigade. They have walked a very long road and after 8 years they have secured a second position in League table, not forgetting that men in blue and gunners are below us.
Liverpool has surely played a good season, best i have seen but it could have been better, we could have just won the title. All we had to do was stay sharp and don't lose home pts to clubs like manchester city, stoke etc. A poor run in the months of december , jan and somewhat feb, saw us throw the silverware to the devils.
Next big question is why did this happened??? easy we have good players but only 11 - 14 good players. we have good first team but we have poor support from the bench. Apart from yossi, and sometimes babel i don't see anyone comin up takin the place from the staring 11. u don't see such things in man u where Fergie has been able to make squad with very good depth.Even there 18 yr old striker macheda can help manu win matches against likes of Aston villa. It is quite disappointing.
So what should we do??? first of all we need good owners. Owners who can give us good transfer budget so that rafa doesn't need to sell his own players and buy new players. hopefully by next transfer window we will have a new owner, maybe he is going to be some shiek from dubai or the owners of delhi daredevils GMR, but maybe that's all rumours coz till now we have not seen anything about a takeover. Infact we have heard about a 42 million loss.
I think so,Rafa should concentrate on buying the right players. Last year he was goin to sell alonso for barry. I know a bad decision. Barry is a good player but at expense of alonso its just too much. If rafa buys players to increase the depth of our squad then i will say that we had a good transfer window.
A manager's job is to implement the right tactics and have the right players in his team. Rafa has a very good understandin of the game and his 4-2-3-1 tactics is great. Only thing now left is Transfers. All depends on it but provided that our new owners have a very big bank balance and a very big and genereous heart.

Transfers hit and misses of EPL 2008/2009 season

As we reach the end of the season, we all want to know whether the players for whom our dear clubs spend so many millions were actually worth it or not. This list is not divided into hits and misses of transfer window. This is just a list of high profile players, who are new members of EPl and review of their performance this season.

1. Deco

He is probably one of the best transfer made by any EPL club. This Brazilian born Portuguese football player started off his career with corinthians. With time he saw his way into porto, where he amazed everyone including jose mourinho with his skills and control over the ball. After winning European cup with porto in 2004, he joined Barca. Here he played along some established football giants like ronaldinho, eto'o and then emerging messi. he never lost his first team player status but when riijkard was sacked he also decided to leave the club and then joined his portugal coach's side Chelsea.
He has been amazing in the first half of the season. After scoring goals in his first two premier league matches, he was named player of the month in the month of august but after sacking of Scolari and few dissapointing performances, he has lost his place in chelsae team. According to me given few more games he can win his place back and please Chelsea don't sell him to juventus, there is lot in him which you haven't seen.

2. Robbie keane
A Tottenham hotspur starting striker, was one of the prime transfer target for reds since the start of teh transfer window. What red expected out of him was that he will score as many goals (infact some more) as he used to score for Spurs. What happened??? the most dissapointing transfer of the premier league. he was a total flop show and the form which was expected was just nowhere to be seen. He was not able to hold the fort, even when el nino was injured.
he was so bad that he was given a transfer in the january transfer window. Still i think that he was capable of being one of the good players in the club, if he was given the right amount of time and reds made a big blunder selling him too quickly. Well now he is back in spurs and helped them get back on their feet and rise in table. It looks like keane and spurs are two which go hand in hand.

3. Nasri
Pure talent and Arsenal made the right choice of bringing him into thier side. his versatality on the pitch has allowed him to play all over the park and he has been quite instrumental in many of the Arsenal's key victories. bought for just 16 million euros, he is a real bargain.

4. Berbatov
Another spure ex-frontman. No one will the oppurtunity to leave manu 's offer and he didn't he was good this season, and with tevez leaving the devil's camp we can expect to see more of berbatov in next seasona dn we are sure that he will shine.

5. Giovanni Dos santos
he was hailed as a 'wonderkid' when he was in barcelona but when he made his way into spurs camp he was hailed as ' a mistake'. One should not be too harsh on this youngsters, his only mistake was htat he joined and EPL team at such a young age. i think he should have established himself in barca (spanish league) and then only jumped the ships. He was good in the pre-season matches, he was not able to perform well in teh league with one goal and multiple days in the injury list he was not the transfer which spurs wanted him to be. Both He and spurs, should not loose hope as i m sure that this wonderkid will live up to his name.

6. Robinho
Good transfer and for a club like manchester city he is a great buy. No matter how manchester city is performing, you cannot ignore the pure class of robinho. he played well and he is undoubtedly one of the great buys.

7. ARSHAVIN
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 130px; height: 95px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_TaNdfybrNH0/Sf_YUA5eITI/AAAAAAAAACg/y-xaOsNrUZc/s400/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5332218322179989810" />
he was a prime transfer target since the euro cup. with teams like barca adn tottenham running for his signature, arsenal was the winner who snatchede him and bought him in the league. he has been instrumental in Arsenal run for i guess 4th place. He has played 11 premeir league matches and scored 6 goals and has assisted 8 times. out of these 4 goals were against liverpool in that legendary 4-4 draw. i am liverpool fan but still i will say Arshavin was great that day. you don't know how difficult it is to appraise your rival but he deserves it.

here Bosingwa also requires a special mention but i m too tire dof writing about everyone else but liverpool.

In the end i guess manchester united and Arenal were the one who were the most succesfull in this year's transfer window. Manu roping in players like berbatov, youngsters like TOSIC and Arsenal signing Nasria and Arshavin showed other teams how and what to puchase. you cannot question wenger and Alex's experience in the premier league they know how to make the right decisions in the transfer window.

Chetan! Why are u so obsessed with happy endings?

When i heard that chetan bhagat's new book 3 mistakes of my life has hit the stands, the first steps i took were towards Tekson's. I was so much impressed with chetan bhagat's last work that i would have bought the book even if it was for 500. The day i bought the book, was the day in which i completed the book, it was that interesting.

The next question which will be, what are your views AJ? well first of all i would like to say that Chetan has done it again. The story moves very nicely, Characters are defined very nicely and they seems real, especially the protagonist of the story Ganesh (though back cover says that story is about three guys, i felt the story actually revolved around this one guy who made the three mistakes and other two, though had important roles in the story were just there to face the consequences). Another thing is that this time Chetan Bhagat has Taken a whole new back drop. His story is set in Ahmadabad, and involves people who feel that rs 2000 profit is a good profit. A story about people who live in an area where people are happy doing small business or small jobs. I'm not being snobbish or anything. In fact i feel that it is good. Chetan bhagat has depicted the life of people esp youth of this area very nicely. Also this time Chetan Has also touched some real and serious issues like regionalism, politics etc and has shown today's youth's opinion towards them. This time India's best selling writer has written a very serious story. As i was reaching the end of the story i felt that the writer is going towards a tragic ending but then i read the last eight pages and then the whole story changed. In just eight pages, he actually managed to convert a tragic and according to me justified ending into a happy ending and i asked myself 'WHY'. I don't why Chetan Bhagat does that? He did it with his last work and he has done it again. I don't know why he is so obsessed with happy endings?

Well i can never answer that question but can only plead Chetan Bhagat to stop converting real endings into happy endings. When his stories seems so real then his endings also.

In all, I liked the book. It was very interesting. It was different from his last work and is surely is better than his last work. He has surely shown the world that you don't need to have an amazing oxford control over the language to be a great story teller. In the end I will only say,

Chetan Bhagat Go rock on....

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ajwebblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/chetan-why-are-u-so-obsessed-with-happy.html' title='Chetan! Now comes the hard part, I feel the ending of the story was not good or justified. I 'am not saying this because of God's intrusion in the story, readers should not get offended if they come across some unrealistic elements in a fictional story. If u want to be so realistic then read non-fiction. I didn't like the ending because i feel it was more like a typical B-grade bollywood movie ending. I also think the happy ending was a forced one and was not at all realistic. if u are wiritng a story where characters are so nicely defined that they seem real and their problems genuine then u can't have such a dreamy happy ending.
Still i feel that 3/4 of the novel was great and i'll be lying if i'll be sayin tht i didn't enjoy it. Chetan Bhagat surely rocks and he should continue writing. We need casual writers like him.
Only thing i m guilty of is that i borrowed the book and read it but i m sure i wouldn't have affected Chetan Bhagat's big bank account.

Cold Hearted

Cold Hearted, That’s what my friend called me when i was tellin him not to waste time on that bitch. He didn't understand, He knows That he can't get her, but still he thinks he can't live w/o her.they don't even have a relationship . He can get any other girl if he likes. Means he has a friend in his office who is ready to Love him like hell , But he wants to remain with his old girl. I guess he just wants to spend time with her, May be he likes her company but then everyone likes a company of a girl. One thing I m not able to understand is That he can get that company and warmth from any other girl. Then why is he fixed with her. Means last thing i know if they even get into a relationship they will break up and then there will be again a broken heart.

Neither I m writing this to tell u my friend's tale nor for the reason that he called me an asshole. I m writing this because i never have been able to answer this question that how can a guy fall so much in love with a girl that he doesn't sees the logistics or the high probability of pain he is going to have after the breakup, which is an evitable fact.

Now i m a guy who hasn't fallen in love, i have been linked to two girls but i haven't felt what love is .I don't have any grudges against the girls with whom i have been linked up in past. Means c'mon i enjoyed it, they enjoyed, fun got over and then we went on with our seperate lives. Ok i didn't have these ideolgies when i was in school, yes my heart also was broken once by a girl. I also felt bad and acted like some freakin Devdas, but then i learn't from my past and now for the past one year i have been followin these ideolgies. I don't hate that girl or any other girl. I don't even hate love, nor have any personal grudges with relationships .I m also not the guy who will say that I don't believe in true love. I believe in true love, and i believe that there is some one for everyone and i m waitin for my so called other half. Now tell me is it still justified that people call me cold hearted.

its sad the whole world can be classified into two - one who are in love and the other who have suffered a break up and they are actin like some freakin aashiq or somethin (esp with boys). For example in orkut if u search for community which talks about love u will find 2 type of communties - One made by a lover (which is good), and the other by ones who hate love because someone who didn't love them left them. They like my friend are just destroyin their lives. Fine he or she left u, this doesn't mean that u start hating love. That person didn't even loved u, that is why he or she left u. U should accept it and sooner u do better it is. What i feel that love is never one sided? it is always from both the sides. If a side has left the other side, then it clearly shows that love was never there and both the sides were actually going through infatuation. I write this To people who have suffered in love, coz i can understand what they are goin thru all i want to say that u should start livin ur life again. Love is not life, and life is not all about love. There are other things in this freakin world. Think about it.

next time when i m gonna meet my friend i will again pursue him to think about his life.

I think so it is stupid for guys and galz to love someone who doesn't love them, I think so it is waste of time. They can utilise that time in a more better way. I believe that being a devdas is the worst u can ever be.

Call Me cold hearted asshole but then this is what i am.
