I finally got my hands dirty with 1 night @ call center. i know it is kind of late but I have been ignorin this book for 2 yrs for some stupid reasons and only read it for the sake of a bet, which i cannot tell u guys.
So i feel book is great, Chracters are well-defined and surely represent the youth of our country, esp Vroom i have lot of friends like him. Now comes the hard part, I feel the ending of the story was not good or justified. I 'am not saying this because of God's intrusion in the story, readers should not get offended if they come across some unrealistic elements in a fictional story. If u want to be so realistic then read non-fiction. I didn't like the ending because i feel it was more like a typical B-grade bollywood movie ending. I also think the happy ending was a forced one and was not at all realistic. if u are wiritng a story where characters are so nicely defined that they seem real and their problems genuine then u can't have such a dreamy happy ending.
Still i feel that 3/4 of the novel was great and i'll be lying if i'll be sayin tht i didn't enjoy it. Chetan Bhagat surely rocks and he should continue writing. We need casual writers like him.
Only thing i m guilty of is that i borrowed the book and read it but i m sure i wouldn't have affected Chetan Bhagat's big bank account.
