The next question which will be, what are your views AJ? well first of all i would like to say that Chetan has done it again. The story moves very nicely, Characters are defined very nicely and they seems real, especially the protagonist of the story Ganesh (though back cover says that story is about three guys, i felt the story actually revolved around this one guy who made the three mistakes and other two, though had important roles in the story were just there to face the consequences). Another thing is that this time Chetan Bhagat has Taken a whole new back drop. His story is set in Ahmadabad, and involves people who feel that rs 2000 profit is a good profit. A story about people who live in an area where people are happy doing small business or small jobs. I'm not being snobbish or anything. In fact i feel that it is good. Chetan bhagat has depicted the life of people esp youth of this area very nicely. Also this time Chetan Has also touched some real and serious issues like regionalism, politics etc and has shown today's youth's opinion towards them. This time India's best selling writer has written a very serious story. As i was reaching the end of the story i felt that the writer is going towards a tragic ending but then i read the last eight pages and then the whole story changed. In just eight pages, he actually managed to convert a tragic and according to me justified ending into a happy ending and i asked myself 'WHY'. I don't why Chetan Bhagat does that? He did it with his last work and he has done it again. I don't know why he is so obsessed with happy endings?
Well i can never answer that question but can only plead Chetan Bhagat to stop converting real endings into happy endings. When his stories seems so real then his endings also.
In all, I liked the book. It was very interesting. It was different from his last work and is surely is better than his last work. He has surely shown the world that you don't need to have an amazing oxford control over the language to be a great story teller. In the end I will only say,
Chetan Bhagat Go rock on....
